You already have the power. Here’s how to use it.
The plan isn’t complicated. It’s almost embarrassing how simple it is — which is the tell. The simplest things are the ones a whole system is organized to keep you from doing.
We point the purse toward each other.
The money you already spend — on services, on hires, on the everyday running of your life and your business — gets routed toward women running businesses, on purpose. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Every dollar that stays in the loop is a dollar that stops flowing back out to businesses we don’t own.
You don’t need a bigger budget. You don’t need to be perfect. You need to change where the money you’re already spending goes.
Here’s how — starting with the smallest thing you can do today.
Notice where it goes
For one week, watch your money. Which dollars leave your hands and land with a woman? Which don’t? Don’t change anything yet — just see it. You can’t redirect a flow you haven’t looked at.
This week · freeName her
When someone asks “who does your ___?” — say the woman. A referral costs you nothing and moves someone else’s money, sometimes for years. This is the highest-leverage thing on this list, and it’s free.
Anytime · freeSwap one default
Pick one recurring spend — your VA, your designer, your coffee, your bookkeeper — and switch to the woman-owned option. Not all of it. One. Progress beats purity, always. There’s no women-owned Amazon yet; choosing the woman when she exists is still a vote.
One decisionHire the woman first
Next time you have real budget — a service, a build, a project — she’s the first call, not the afterthought. Same standard you’d hold anyone to. Just called first.
Next budget cycleJoin a pocket
Find your people — the corner where women are already pooling their spending and referrals on purpose. You don’t have to build anything. You just have to belong to one. (This is what I’m building the directory to make findable.)
When you’re readyStart a pocket
Gather a handful of women who agree to spend toward each other on purpose. Refer inside it. Hire inside it. You’ve just become the matriarch of a node — and the loop is real in your corner, whether or not anything else exists yet.
The highest rungOne woman doing this changes her own vendor list. That’s nice, and it’s not enough.
But the math is already in our favor — we just have to organize it. Women direct 70 to 80% of consumer spending. When enough of us route that spending toward each other on purpose, the dollar stops leaking out and starts circulating. It enters the loop and takes years to leave, because there’s always another woman inside it doing the next thing you need.
That’s the difference between a nice idea and a counter-economy: the organizing. The ladder above is the organizing. Every rung you climb makes the loop a little more real.
You don’t have to wait for the platform. The plan works today.
Right now, doing this takes effort — you have to hunt for the woman-owned option, remember who to refer, find your pocket by hand.
I’m building the infrastructure to take that friction out: a directory where the money finds women without the hunt, referral rails, and a way to find or start your pocket. It’s in build. Getting on the list means you’re first in — and you help shape what it becomes.
You don’t have to wait for it. Start climbing the ladder now; the infrastructure catches up to you.Pick your rung. Start today.
Get on the list. You’re first in when the doors open, and the plan comes to your inbox.
